Their original kitchen, however, worked against the way they lived. Enclosed and separated from a small wet bar tucked off to the side, it kept the hosts disconnected from the very moments they loved most. The redesign began with a simple question: How could the kitchen become part of the gathering instead of hidden from it?

By opening the kitchen and creating an expansive new wet bar connected by a generously sized peninsula, the space was transformed into the social heart of the home. The peninsula naturally bridges the kitchen and bar while guiding guests toward the dining and living areas, allowing conversations to flow as effortlessly as the meals and cocktails being prepared.

Inspired by the homeowners' appreciation for Chinese and Asian art and culture, the design also provides a refined backdrop for the meaningful objects they've collected over the years. Contemporary finishes and thoughtful details allow those pieces to become part of the home's story without competing for attention.

The result is a kitchen designed not simply for cooking, but for connection—a place where preparing dinner, mixing cocktails, and spending time together all happen within the same shared experience.
